What curriculum do we use?

Well, first of all, we DO use a curriculum- even with our babies. Every child that comes to Kids'Way, no matter their age, will hear about God's love for them. Of course, it looks very different in our nursery that it does in our 4s room or in elementary. However, each hour in children's ministry our teachers teach an age appropriate lesson to kids of all ages!

Currently in Kids' Way Jr. we use two different curriculums. In our nursery and toddler rooms, we use Gospel Light's Baby Beginnings. The very short story is told using big pictures that capture the attention of our youngest kids. The concept for the day is reinforced by songs, poems/fingerplays, and short activities.

With our 3s and 4s, we use Group's Hands-On curriculum. The focus of this curriculum is to engage kids in hands-on experience with the Bible concepts taught each week. There is a short age-appropriate Bible story, corresponding activities including a craft, and discussion of how to apply the days lesson to their lives. There is also singing, snacking, and playing too!

We work hard to ensure that each week children not only hear about God's love for them, but experience it. Our children's ministry volunteers are the finest around, and THEY are what make our curriculum successful!

My son is in the 4-5 class and he loves to sing! He has been singing Jesus loves me, Open My Eyes, Halleujiah daily. He does tend to mix them in together, but always ends with Praise the Lord He is great! It is so precious.
